The
key to the success of an organisation is information,
and the communication of information.
When
launched in a multi-user environment our bespoke software
solutions ensure that information is readily available
to any member of staff who has permission to access
the software.
With
access to reporting modules and management information
functions, multi-user software systems can ensure that
an organisation pulls together with structured input of
information, and formatted output to help analyse and
grow.
How does
it work?
Simple...
The software is loaded onto every PC, with a central
data file. Each user can access the system as though
it is their own system but the data that they update
is available to every other user on the system.
As
each person contributes their information the data stored
in the system grows and is instantly retrievable from
any PC.
If
one member of staff is at one end of the building and
another at the other, they can both access the same information
at the same time.
Security Issues
Obviously with
such a large amount of information there are many security
issues. Whilst there are far too many to address here,
it is important to note, that the systems we develop have
a multi-level security which enables you to define the
privileges assigned to an individual user.
For example you
may wish for one member of staff to be allowed to see
the sales process and accounts, but only allow another
to access the production control elements of the software.
Reporting
With a multi-user
system a major advantage is that as staff contribute to
the database the information available grows and becomes
a very powerful resource. The key to ensuring that it
is best used is to provide reporting functions.
The reporting module
allows for touch of a button reports as defined by you
to display the information stored within the database
in the layout you require.
